Can anyone run a server?

You have a huge web page that does not fit within the 5 Mbytes limit offered by your RR personal web page? You may want to run your own web server. this way you have as much space as there is on your hard disk. Other possibilities are ftp servers to facilitate file exchange with friends (ftp = File Transfer Protocol).

Can anyone run a server?

Basically yes. However, Roadrunner would like to know about you running a server.You will need to have your computer switched on, and connected to the cable modem, whenever you want someone to access your server.

Can CSNA use all 256 channel-attached hosts as defined in the ADDRESS parameter of the IODEVICE macro?

No, you may define 256 channel addresses, but the CSNA will support only 64 concurrent channel-attached hosts per physical CIP port.

Can I go back to Windows 95 and FAT16?

When you upgrade to Windows 98, if you choose to use FAT32, you will not be able to uninstall Windows 98 and return to Windows 95 without formatting your hard disc drive and reinstalling Windows 95. The option to uninstall Windows 98 is only available if you do not convert to FAT32.

Can I install Windows 98 on a drive smaller than 512 Mbytes?

Yes. If the drive is smaller than 500 Mbytes, Windows 98 uses original FAT16 instead of FAT32. The Windows 98 setup will advise you of the free space requirements, which are slightly greater than the requirements of Windows 95.

Can I just buy a Cable Modem and hook it up?

No. You need to call your cable TV provider to find out if or when they provide Cable Modem service in your area. A few places have Cable Modems available in retail. In that case you should ask in the store and make sure you follow the guidelines. They will have a deal with the local cable TV operator to sell Cable Modems only where they provide the service.

Can I modify the hostname parameter in the configuration?

The hostname parameter of the router configuration file should not be modified once the config is part of the baseline. Netsys assumes that the router's configuration file is stored in a file of the same name. Changing the hostname in the router configuration file causes the version control program to produce an error on that baseline.

Can I play games on Windows 2000?

Yes. Most new games work with Windows 2000. However, some games won't work. Check the game manufacturer's web site for more information on settings and compatibility.

Can I print the reports or logs under NetWare?

You can print to any local print queue under NetWare. The queue must be local, but the printer does not need to be local. By configuring a remote print server to service the local queue, the print job can be routed to a remote printer.

Can I restore all the files from a single session?

On the restore selection tab, select the file, directory or volume to restore. Press the select button on the tool bar. The instance dialog box is displayed. Select the date of the instance you want restored. All children having the same instance will also be selected.
